Competition Periods
This competition will run on the dates and times corresponding to the GNBC BCF 2024 promotion you entered, as follows:
- If you enter using a unique code from inside specially marked packs for the GNBC BCF IMC 2024 Promotion:
12.01am (AEDT) on 16/02/2024 to 11.59pm (AEST) on 17/05/2024 - If you enter using a unique code from a scratch card obtained in venue (e.g.pubs) for the GNBC BCF IMC 2024 On Prem Promotion:

Entry instructions
During the relevant Competition Period (corresponding to the GNBC BCF 2024 promotion you entered), you must:
- once you have entered your unique code to complete your entry into either the GNBC BCF IMC 2024 Promotion or the BCF IMC 2024 On Premise Promotion, continue to remain in the Promoter’s App and follow the prompts in the App to then play the Great Northern Greatest Catch game on screen, with that same unique code;
- play the game (when prompted, cast 3 reels to see what you catch) to see on screen if you have won an instant win prize; and
- if, you catch a Golden Marlin, you will receive 1 spot (entry) into the major prize draw (Major PrizeDraw Entrant).
There are up to 100 Golden Marlins available (and therefore up to 100 spots available in the major prize draw) which will be randomly allocated, with up to 75 spots available to those who enter via the GNBC BCF IMC 2024 Promotion and up to 25 spots available to those who enter via the GMBC BCF IMC 2024 On Prem Promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, the outcome of the Great Northern Greatest Catch fishing game, including whether or not you catch a Golden Marlin, is all pre-determined based on chance, and is not based on skill or how you play the game.

How are instant win prize/s awarded?

How are Golden Marlins awarded (for a spot in the major prize draw)?
There are up to 100 Golden Marlins available in this competition (representing up to 100 available spots in the major prize draw).
The Golden Marlins are awarded randomly, as follows:
- up to 75 winning times between 12.01 am AEDT 05/02/2024 and 11.59pm AEST on 17/05/2024 (for entries made using a unique code from specially marked packs via the GNBC BCF IMC 2024 Promotion); and
- up to 25 winning times between 12.01 am AEDT 04/03/2024 and 11.59pm AEST 14/04/2024 (for entries made using a unique code from a scratch card via the GNBC IMC 2024 On Prem Promotion).
The random allocation of Golden Marlins will be selected by a computerised random system at iGoDirect.
How many major winners will there be and how will they be chosen?
There will be 1 major winner determined in respect of this competition.
There will be 1 major draw conducted. Only valid Major Prize Draw Entrants will be included in the major prize draw (max 100 entries).
The major draw will be held at 12pm (AEDT) on 28/05/2024 at iGoDirect.
The first valid entry drawn randomly from the Major Prize Draw Entrants will win the major prize.
The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries in a draw and record them in order, in case a winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid or a prize is unclaimed (Reserve Entrants).

Major prize
There is 1 major prize to be won.
The major prize is a Great Northern branded premium fishing boat 600 Wrangler TT BMT including Tohatsu 140hp Outboard motor and Oceanic Tandem Trailer, valued at up to $86,544.46.
The major prize does not include registration, comprehensive insurance or any accessories not specified. You must be able to register and operate the boat (and obtain any necessary licences) in your name in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. However if you are unable to register the boat in your name then you may transfer it to another person for the purpose of registration.
Total prize pool
The instant win prize pool is valued up to $2,161,235.36.
The major prize pool is up to $86,544.46.
The overall total prize pool is up to $2,247,779.82.
How many times can I enter?
You can enter once per day per corresponding GNBC BCF promotion; max 5 entries via the GNBC BCF IMC 2024 Promotion and max 5 entries via the GNBC IMC 2024 On Prem Promotion (max 10 entries per person in total).
Each entry must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
How and when will the winner/s be informed?
Entrants will see on screen if they have won an instant win prize, and if they have caught a Golden Marlin. All instant win prizes will be shown in the winner’s Stash section of the App and all instant winners will be sent an email (to their email address that was used to register in the App) with details on how to verify your entry (if required) and claim the prize.
Any entrants who have caught a Golden Marlin (securing a spot in the major prize draw) will be shown in the entrant’s Stash section of the App.
The major prize winner will be notified by phone and by email within two business days of determination.
Winners of prizes valued over $250 will have their name and state/territory/postcode of residence published at www.greatnorthern.com.au/promotions on 04/06/2024 for a period of 28 days.
Unclaimed prize
All digital prizes (e.g. e-gift cards/vouchers) cannot be unclaimed as they will be automatically awarded to winners via email to the email address associated with the App. It is an entrant's responsibility to ensure that they enter their email address correctly when registering to use the App. If they fail to enter their email address correctly, any digital prize will be forfeited.
Prize claim date: 5pm (AEST) on 28/06/2024.
Unclaimed prize determination: 12pm (AEST) on 02/07/2024 at the same location as the original draw.
If a prize (other than a digital prize) valued over $100 has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will carry out an unclaimed prize draw at the date, time and place stated above to randomly distribute such prize/s, in descending order of value. Any winner/s in this draw will be informed by email within 5 business days of determination and for winners of prizes valued over $250 will have their name and state/territory/postcode of residence published at www.greatnorthern.com.au/promotions on 12/07/2024 for a period of 28 days.
If a prize remains un-won at the end of this competition, or if the major prize winner cannot be found, that information will be published at www.greatnorthern.com.au/promotions on 31/07/2024.
Collection and use of your personal information
If you are a winner, you must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your names and images in any promotional or advertising activity.
The Promoter may collect your personal information directly or through its agents or contractors. The Promoter will use your personal information to conduct and manage the competition. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to its related companies, agents and contractors to assist in conducting this competition, communicating with you or storing data. This may include disclosures to organisations outside Australia including in places such as the Philippines, New Zealand, the UK and the Netherlands.
By entering, you consent to the Promoter keeping your personal information on its database to use for future marketing purposes, including contacting you by electronic messaging provided that where required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Promoter includes a functional unsubscribe facility in each direct marketing communication it sends you that you may use to opt-out of any further such communications and provided that the functional unsubscribe facility complies with the Spam Regulations 2021 (Cth). Entry

Your entry must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks outside its reasonable control. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email address/addresses/aliases, you may be disqualified.
Prizes

Prizes and all elements of prizes must be taken as specified, as and when offered and cannot be altered or changed in any way by you or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. If you forfeit the prize or any element of the prize for whatever reason, you will not be given cash or any alternative prize as a substitute. Prize/s are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Promoter.

Winners are responsible for all other unspecified costs associated with ongoing use of the prize, for example but not limited to, utility supply connection, servicing and insurance etc.

The Promoter is not responsible for any dispute between you and any person with whom you choose to, or choose not to, share the prize.
General

Any material failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier(s) may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier(s).

If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions materially, your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) maybe discarded. The Promoter may, at anytime, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction the validity of your entries and/or your identity (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.

You must not:
- tamper with the entry process (including but not limited to manipulating the system via bots, script use, or any other means to circumvent the entry process);
- engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
- act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
- do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
- breach any law; or
- behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.

If you, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate, the Promoter may cancel the prize or restrict you from participating in any elements of the prize, at its discretion.

The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted for reasons outside the Promoter's reasonable control including failure of any third parties to forward entry forms for inclusion in the draw.

If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.

Prize/s cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, prize/s (and elements of a prize) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.

By entering, you request that your full address not be published.

Where relevant for instant win promotions, printing and other quality control errors outside the Promoter’s control will not invalidate an otherwise valid instant win prize claim. Every instant win prize claim in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured, unless the claim is rejected due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions.

If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, government directives, a pandemic, public health orders and the like, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.

The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
Liability

You may have consumer rights under statute including under the Competition and ConsumerAct 2010 (Cth), which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this competition and cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts those rights. See www.accc.gov.au for more information about those rights.

Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury (including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).

Without limiting the previous paragraphs, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control. Unless otherwise specified, prize/s will only be delivered to addresses in Australia.

Entry

Your entry must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks outside its reasonable control. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email addresss/addresses/aliases, you may be disqualified.
Prizes

Prizes and all elements of prizes must be taken as specified, as and when offered and cannot be altered or changed in any way by you or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. If you forfeit the prize or any element of the prize for whatever reason, you will not be given cash or any alternative prize as a substitute. Prize/s are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or thePromoter.

Winners are responsible for all other unspecified costs associated with ongoing use of the prize, for example but not limited to, utility supply connection, servicing and insurance etc.

The Promoter is not responsible for any dispute between you and any person with whom you choose to, or choose not to, share the prize.

Any material failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier(s) may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier(s).

If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions materially, your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) maybe discarded. The Promoter may, at anytime, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction the validity of your entries and/or your identity (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.

You must not:
- tamper with the entry process (including but not limited to manipulating the system via bots, script use, or any other means to circumvent the entry process);
- engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
- act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
- do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
- breach any law; or
- behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.

If you, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate, the Promoter may cancel the prize or restrict you from participating in any elements of the prize, at its discretion.

The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted for reasons outside the Promoter's reasonable control including failure of any third parties to forward entry forms for inclusion in the draw.

If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.

Prize/s cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, prize/s (and elements of a prize) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.

Where relevant for instant win promotions, printing and other quality control errors outside the Promoter’s control will not invalidate an otherwise valid instant win prize claim. Every instant win prize claim in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured, unless the claim is rejected due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions.

If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, government directives, a pandemic, public health orders and the like, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.

The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
Liability

You may have consumer rights under statute including under the Competition and ConsumerAct 2010 (Cth), which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this competition and cannot be excluded or restricted. Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury (including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).

Without limiting the previous paragraphs, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control. Unless otherwise specified, prize/s will only be delivered to addresses in Australia.
