- the Promoter; and
the agencies, companies or participating stores/venues associated with this competition.
Competition Periods
12.01am (AEDT) on 24/02/2025 to 11.59pm (AEST) on 19/06/2025.
Where will the competition run?
The competition will run in participating liquor licensed stores (including online purchases from those stores) which are stocking specially marked cartons in Australia (Stores) and in participating liquor licensed venues in Australia that are displaying promotion material (Venues).
A participating venue will not offer this promotion as an inducement directed at encouraging patrons to gamble or to consume alcohol in line with relevant state gambling/liquor authorities.
Qualifying Purchase
In Store:
A specially marked carton of any of the following Great Northern products (subject to stocks remaining):
- Great Northern Super Crisp – 24pk bottles and 30pk cans
- Great Northern Original – 24pk bottles and 30pk cans
- Great Northern Zero – 24pk bottles
In Venue:
In any combinations buy (in 1 transaction, to share) as available in Venue:
- 2 or more pints or schooners or a jug of Great Northern Original, Great Northern Super Crisp or Great Northern Ginger Beer
OR - 2 or more bottles or cans of Great Northern Original or Great Northern Super Crisp
OR - 2 or more bottles or cans of Great Northern Zero
Entry instructions
In Store:
To enter, you must:
- make a Qualifying Purchase from a Store and collect your itemised purchase receipt;
- locate the unique code/s inside the Qualifying Purchase product/s;
- then during the Competition Period:
- scan QR code on Qualifying Purchase packaging with your smartphone (Android or iPhone) to download the Great Northern app (the App), if you haven’t already done so, to register your details in the App, including by confirming you are 18+, providing your full name, mobile phone number (optional), email address and any other requested information (you only have to register once); and
- then follow the prompts in the App to enter the unique code from the specially marked pack to play the Great Northern Greatest Catch game;
- cast the first reel on screen to reveal which BCF voucher value you have won;
- then follow the directions on screen to see what you catch to reveal if you have won a Minor instant win prize; and
- if you catch a Golden Marlin, receive 1 spot (entry) into the major prize draw (Major Prize Draw Entrant).
There will be a total of up to 3,240,000 specially marked cartons available. Each specially marked carton will include 1 unique code.
Max 1 entry per person per day; max 5 entries per person in total.
In Venue:
To enter, you must during the Competition Period:
- make a Qualifying Purchase from a Venue;
- receive a game card from that Venue (subject to stocks remaining) and scratch the panel to reveal a unique code; then:
- scan QR code on game card with your smartphone (Android or iPhone) and download the App (if you haven’t already) to register your details in the App, including by confirming you are 18+, providing your full name, mobile phone number (optional), email address and any other requested information (you only have to register once);
- follow the prompts in the App to enter the unique code from the game card to play the Great Northern Greatest Catch game
- cast the first reel on screen to reveal if you have instantly won a BCF voucher (1 in 3 wins via in Venue);
- then follow the directions on screen to see what you catch to reveal if you have won a Minor instant win prize;
- if you catch a Golden Marlin, receive 1 spot (entry) into the major prize draw (Major Prize Draw Entrant); and
- fully complete the entry form on the game card, tear along the perforation line and put it in the entry box (stub only) at that Venue for a chance to win the Venue draw prize (Venue Draw Prize).
Max 1 entry per person per day; max 5 entries per person in total.
Golden Marlins - there are up to 100 Golden Marlins available (and therefore up to 100 spots available in the major prize draw) which will be randomly allocated, with up to 75 spots available to valid entrants who enter via making an In Store Qualifying Purchase and up to 25 spots available to valid entrants who enter via making a In Venue Qualifying Purchase. See “How are Golden Marlins awarded?” section below.
For the avoidance of doubt, the outcome of the Great Northern Greatest Catch game, including whether or not you catch a Golden Marlin and whether or not you win a Minor instant win prize, is all pre-determined based on chance, and is not based on skill or how you play the game. See “How are instant win prizes awarded?” for more details.
Max 1 entry per person per day; max 5 entries via In Store entry and max 5 entries via In Venue entry (max 10 entries per person in total for entire competition).
The Promoter is not responsible if your mobile device is not sufficiently capable for the purpose of submitting an entry. This promotion is not authorised, sponsored or otherwise approved by Apple Inc or Google Play.
How are instant win prizes awarded?
BCF vouchers from specially marked cartons in Store:
There will be a total of up to 3,240,000 specially marked cartons available, each of which will include 1 unique code. All valid entrants who purchase a specially marked carton will win a BCF voucher prize, however the value of the BCF voucher they win will be determined randomly via a computerised system at iGo Direct Pty Ltd, 41 Stubbs Street, Kensington VIC 3031 (iGo Direct).
BCF vouchers to be won via game cards in Venue (1 in 3 wins)
There will be up to 700 Venues running this competition. In each Venue, there will be a total of 450 game cards available, with 150 game cards containing a winning unique code for a BCF voucher. There are in total up to 105,000 prizes to be awarded randomly based on 1 in 3 winning unique codes, during the Competition Period via a computerised system at iGo Direct.
Minor instant win prizes
There are up to 100,859 Minor instant win prizes to be awarded randomly during the Competition Period via a computerised system at iGo Direct. Refer to Schedule 1 for all Minor instant win prizes.
How are Golden Marlins awarded (for a spot in the major prize draw)?
There are up to 100 Golden Marlins available in this competition (representing up to 100 available spots in the major prize draw).
The Golden Marlins are awarded randomly, and split as follows:
- up to 75 winning times during the Competition Period for entries made using a unique code from specially marked cartons (via an In Store Qualifying Purchase); and
- up to 25 winning times during the Competition Period for entries made using a unique code from a game card (via an In Venue Qualifying Purchase).
The random allocation of the Golden Marlins will be selected by a computerised random system at iGo Direct.
How many Venue Draw Prize winners will there be and how will they be chosen?
There will be 1 winner determined in each Venue for the Draw Venue Prize (with a total of 700 Venue Draw Prize winners across 700 Venues).
A draw will be held at each Venue at 12pm (AEST) on 23/06/2025.
The first valid entry drawn randomly from the entries received in each Venue during the Competition Period in the relevant Venue will win the Venue Draw Prize.
The Promoter may arrange to draw additional reserve entries in a draw and record them in order, in case a winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid or a Venue Draw Prize is unclaimed (Reserve Entrants).
How many major prize winners will there be and how will they be chosen?
There will be 2 major prize winners determined in respect of this competition.
There will be 1 major draw conducted. Only valid Major Prize Draw Entrants will be included in the major prize draw (max 100 entries).
The major draw will be held at 12pm (AEST) on 02/07/2025 at Gadens, Level 13, 447Collins Street, Melbourne Vic 3000 (Gadens).
The first valid entry drawn randomly from the Major Prize Draw Entrants will win the 1st major prize, and the second valid entry drawn randomly will win the 2nd major prize.
The Promoter/Gadens may draw additional reserve entries in a draw and record them inorder, in case a winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid or a prize is unclaimed (Reserve Entrants).
What can I win?
BCF prizes from specially marked cartons in Store:
There are up to 3,240,000 prizes from specially marked cartons available, as follows:
- 10,044 x $100 BCF e-voucher;
- 63,504 x $20 BCF e-voucher; and
- 3,166,452 x $10 BCF e-voucher.
BCF prizes from game cards in Venue (1 in 3 wins):
There are in total up to 105,000 instant win prizes available to be won via game cards, as follows:
- 3,500 x $100 BCF e-voucher;
- 35,000 x $20 BCF e-voucher; and
- 66,500 x $10 BCF e-voucher.
With the above total, this means in each Venue, there are up to 150 instant win prizes available to be won via game cards:
- 5 x $100 BCF e-voucher;
- 50 x $20 BCF e-voucher; an
- 95 x $10 BCF e-voucher.
BCF e-vouchers can be used online at www.bcf.com.au or in store at BCF stores. You can only redeem a maximum of one BCF e-voucher per transaction. Limit of one BCF e-voucher redeemable per person, per day. BCF e-vouchers must be redeemed on or before 25/09/2025. BCF e-vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. There is no minimum spend to use the BCF e-voucher. If transaction is under the e-voucher value, any remaining value will be lost.
Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the BCF e-voucher are not included. Redemption of the BCF e-voucher is subject to the terms and conditions associated with the BCF e-voucher located at www.bcf.com.au/customer-service/terms.html This promotional gift card is issued by SRG Leisure Retail Pty Ltd and is redeemable for purchases in-store or online from the following participating retailers in Australia: BCF stores. This gift card will be valid until 25/09/2025. It cannot be exchanged, redeemed for cash or reloaded (except to the extent permitted by law). Any unused balance after expiration of the gift card will remain on the card and is non -redeemable. Where the purchase cost exceeds the available card balance, the card holder will be required to make up the difference. Venue Draw Prize
In each Venue, there is 1 Venue Draw Prize available, which is a Yeti Roadie® 24 Hard Cooler valued at $300.
If you win, you must collect the Venue Draw Prize from the relevant Venue.
Total prize pool
The BCF vouchers won via specially marked cartons in Store prize pool is valued up to $33,939,000.
The BCF vouchers won via game cards in Venue (1 in 3 wins) prize pool is valued up to $1,715,000.
The Venue Draw Prize pool in each Venue is $300 (and with up to 700 Venues, the total In Venue Draw Prize pool value is up to $210,000).
The Minor instant win prize pool is up to $2,118,193
The major prize pool is up to $115,534.46.
The overall total prize pool is up to $37,797,727.45.
How many times can I enter?
Via specially marked cartons in Store – max 1 entry per day; max 5 entries in total. Max 1 entry per unique code/Qualifying Purchase.
Via game cards in Venue – max 1 entry per day and per game card; max 5 entries in total.
Max 10 entries per person in total for the entire competition.
Each entry must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
How and when will the winner/s be informed?

Proof of purchase
For entries made via purchase of a specially marked carton in Store:
You must keep the following as proof of purchase for all entries:
- original itemised purchase receipt(s); and
- unique code/s from carton.
Your purchase receipt must clearly identify where the Qualifying Purchase was made, the product/s purchased (which must be/comprise a Qualifying Purchase) and the date of purchase (which must be before you submitted your entry).
For entries made via purchase of a game cards in Venue:
You must keep the following as proof of purchase for all entries:
- gamecard with unique code.
If you don't produce the above proof of purchase for all entries when asked the Promoter may disqualify all of your entries and you will lose any right to a prize.
If, in the Promoter's opinion based on the available information, you have shared any proof of purchase with another person, your entries will be invalid and you will lose any right to a prize.
Unclaimed prize
All digital prizes (e.g. e-gift cards/e-vouchers, including BCF vouchers) cannot be unclaimed as they will be automatically awarded to winners via email to the email address associated with the App. It is an entrant's responsibility to ensure that they enter their email address correctly when registering to use the App. If they fail to enter their email address correctly, any digital prize will be forfeited.
Prize claim date for all non-digital prizes (but excluding the Venue Draw Prize): 5pm (AEST) on 15/08/2025.
Unclaimed prize determination: 12pm (AEST) on 19/08/2025 at Gadens.
If any prize (other than a digital prize or Venue Draw Prize) valued over $250 has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will carry out an unclaimed prize draw at the date, time and place stated above to randomly distribute such prize/s, in descending order of value. Any winner/s in this draw will be informed by email within 5 business days of determination and must claim the prize within 2 weeks of receiving notification, and for winners of prizes valued over $250 will have their first name initial, surname and postcode published at www.greatnorthern.com.au/promotions on 26/08/2025 for a period of 28 days.
Venue Draw Prize claim date: 5pm (AEST) on 21/07/2025.
Unclaimed Venue Draw Prize determination: 12pm (AEST) on 22/07/2025 at each Venue.
For each Venue, if the In Venue Draw Prize has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact the winner (or the winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will either re-award the Venue Draw Prize to a Reserve Entrant for that Venue and/or carry out an unclaimed prize draw for that Venue at the date, time and place stated above to randomly distribute the Venue Draw Prize to a valid entrant.
Any such winner/s in these draw/s will be informed by phone and email within 5 business days of determination and must claim the Venue Draw Prize within 2 weeks of receiving notification, and will also have their first name initial, surname and postcode published at www.greatnorthern.com.au/promotions on 29/07/2025 for a period of 28 days.
If any other prize remains un-won at the end of this competition, or a prize winner cannot be found, that information will be published at www.greatnorthern.com.au/promotions on 16/09/2025.
Collection and use of your personal information
If you are a winner, you must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your names and images in any promotional or advertising activity.
The Promoter may collect your personal information directly or through its agents or contractors. The Promoter will use your personal information to conduct and manage the competition. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to its related companies, agents and contractors to assist in conducting this competition, communicating with you or storing data. This may include disclosures to organisations outside Australia including in places such as the Philippines, New Zealand, the UK and the Netherlands.
By entering, you consent to the Promoter keeping your personal information on its database to use for future marketing purposes, including contacting you by electronic messaging provided that where required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Promoter includes a functional unsubscribe facility in each direct marketing communication it sends you that you may use to opt-out of any further such communications and provided that the functional unsubscribe facility complies with the Spam Regulations 2021 (Cth). By entering, you consent to receive email or SMS messages from the Promoter without any functional unsubscribe facility if they relate primarily to the conduct of this competition.

- how to seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds about you and seek correction of the information; and

If you delete your account on the App, any personal information the Promoter holds about you will be retained by the Promoter to the extent required to conduct and manage the competition, or otherwise to comply with applicable law. Your entry (or entries) will not be withdrawn from any applicable draw by deleting the App, unless you separately advise the Promoter otherwise.

Entry

Your entry must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. Entry forms/unique codes/instant win material from any other competition cannot be used for this competition, and are void if copied, forged, stolen or interfered with. If you return an in Store Qualifying Purchase your entry may be deemed invalid at the Promoter's discretion (unless the product is defective). You will receive a return message confirming your entry. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks outside its reasonable control. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email addresses/addresses/aliases, you may be disqualified.
Prizes

Prizes and all elements of prizes must be taken as specified, as and when offered and cannot be altered or changed in any way by you or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. If you forfeit the prize or any element of the prize for whatever reason, you will not be given cash or any alternative prize as a substitute. Prizes are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Promoter.

Winners are responsible for all other unspecified costs associated with ongoing use of the prize, for example but not limited to, utility supply connection, servicing and insurance etc.

The Promoter is not responsible for any dispute between you and any person with whom you choose to, or choose not to, share the prize.
General

Any material failure by you to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier(s) may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier(s).

If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions materially, your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) may be discarded. The Promoter may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction the validity of your entries and/or your identity (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.

You must not:
- tamper with the entry process (including but not limited to manipulating the system via bots, script use, or any other means to circumvent the entry process);
- engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
- act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
- do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
- breach any law; or
- behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.

If you, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this competition, is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate, the Promoter may cancel the prize or restrict you from participating in any elements of the prize, at its discretion.

The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted for reasons outside the Promoter's reasonable control including failure of any third parties to forward entry forms for inclusion in the major draw.

If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.

Prize/s cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, prize/s (and elements of a prize) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.

By entering, you request that your full address not be published.

Printing and other quality control errors outside the Promoter’s control will not invalidate an otherwise valid instant win prize claim. Every instant win prize claim in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured, unless the claim is rejected due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions.

If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure/issues, government directives, a pandemic, public health orders and the like, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify/remove affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.

The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
Liability

You may have consumer rights under statute including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this competition and cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts those rights. See www.accc.gov.au for more information about those rights.

Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury (including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).

Without limiting the previous paragraphs, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control. Unless otherwise specified, prize/s will only be delivered to addresses in Australia.

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. You provide your information to the Promoter and not to any social media platform. You completely release any relevant social media platforms from any and all liability.
